Learn to Swim Programs

In April of 2024, The Drowning Report came out showing Missouri's 3 year average of their drowning rate  ranked the state as #2 in highest drownings per population, right behind New York as number 1.

The highest percentage of drownings throughout the United States happen in Lakes 38.3%, and Rivers 32.8%, then Ocean water 16.7% followed by Ponds 11.3%. (The Drowning Report provided by Total Aquatic Programming, LLC.)

Missouri contains 3 of the top 4 locations. WE NEED TO TEACH PEOPLE THE LIFE SKILL TO SWIM!

You can help bring back to Springfield Public Schools a water survival course for all 3rd graders to be able to attend and learn skills like floating, blowing bubbles to clear air passages and treading water.


Water Therapy Pools

Here at Well, we will help to improve the quality of life for our community needs for Adaptive Needs for children needing Water Therapy, as well as for individuals who need Physical Rehabilitation in a zero-impact setting allowed in a Water Therapy Pool.


As of 2024, the Springfield Public Schools have over 280 children that utilize Adaptive Physical Education Programs, several who could benefit once this Therapy Pool is available.

Healthy Lifestyles

Our dream of a 50 meter Long Course pool in Springfield will not only help USA Swimming club members reach their goals, but also allow all the area high school and college students to have adequate practice facilities with over 20 lanes for 25-yard swimming, a platform diving well, and seating capacity for hosting large competitive meets.

Research has shown that swimming positively affects the general somatic and mental health. Epidemiological research also suggests that the risk of all-cause mortality may be about 50% lower in swimmers compared to walkers, runners, and sedentary people even after adjusting for age, body mass index, smoking, alcohol use and family history of heart disease (www.tandfonline.com Chase, Sui, and Blair 2008).

Swimming produces grit in anyone who gets involved on a swim team.
